Silk carré 60 with small oya glass beads

Crafted from a smooth silk twill with oya glass beads hand embroidery on the edges. The signature flower motif was created in collaboration with Kumru Mısırlıoğlu based on an old scarf collected from an elderly family member. The scarf selection of the studio celebrates the traditional oya embroidery scarves from Türkiye and the silk and square-shaped scarves from France, taking their name carré. Oya embroideries have been made by women in Türkiye for years. By creating and wearing these precious embroideries on their scarves, they'd express emotions and thoughts through motifs and colors.
